Greetings to all. We are still remembering Mother Martha. On this day, four years ago, we were looking at her earthen vessel, as we prepared for her "Going Home Celebration" to take place. All in white, the body had expired, but the soul is resting for that great gett'n up morning. I am filled with memories and reminders of a her every day. Looking in retrospect at the life of Mother Martha Stanley forces me to look introspectively at my own life. Today is the sixth day of the ninth month in the year R&R(ReCover&ReStore).
My mother was a woman who would help you pursue your passion, your dream, she would encourage you to accomplish your goals, no matter what your situation, she said you can. She told us the story about the little ant, who wanted to climb a rubber tree plant, everyone doubted, but he had high hopes. My Mom had more than high hopes, she had prayer, faith and works. She never considered herself to lack anything, she said she was Doing the Best She can with What she got. When I discussed with her my desire to have a women's conference (P.O.W.E.R. Tools), she said you can do it. She attended every conference. When I told her I wanted to be a publisher, she said do it. Even after becoming a teen parent, my Mom said, I can do anything I want to do. She encouraged one of our "God Sisters" to finish school, after she became pregnant. My mom kept the baby so that this young lady could complete her education. She went on to become a successful business woman. Doing the Best I can with what I got. Mom did not have a lot of money, but she had a lot of love, she had time, she had desire, passion and compassion and she had a direct connection to The RESOURCE. Doing the Best I can with what I got, when she made this statement to us, she was a dialysis patient, had lost her eyesight and was attending a women's conference over the weekend. The sisters who were there quickly became inspired with this statement and it became their motto for years to come.
Doing the Best I can with what I Got. My mom taught us that if you give unto the Lord, yourself, your time, your talents and gifts, He will give you more and more to give. Mom showed us this, she always had more of everything to give. Do your very best with what you have and watch and expect a positive result of your labor. II Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
