Great Memories--Words of a CERTAIN Woman

Today,  four years ago today, we bid my Mom's physical body farewell.  Surrounded by friends, family and loved ones, we gave our final salute to our legend.  Today, on this seventh day of the ninth month in the year R&;R(ReCover&ReStore), I celebrate her life.  I salute her one more time, I arise and call her blessed.  The life of a CERTAIN woman who impacted the lives of so many.  A woman who loved the sound of music, who loved people, who loved to love.  One of her favorite songs was Since I met Jesus, a favorite scripture, Psalms 121- I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills...  Today, as a memorial to Mom, I would love to hear some of your memories of Mom, Mother Stanley, A Certain Woman.  Post them on facebook or send an email....Thanks Mom for the Memories...and all the lessons!!!! Greetings to all.  We are still remembering Mother Martha .  On this day, four years ago, we were looking at her earthen vessel, as we prepared for her "Going Home Celebration" to take place.  All in white, the body had expired, but the soul is resting for that great gett'n up morning.  I am filled with memories and reminders of a her every day.  Looking in retrospect at the life of Mother Martha Stanley forces me to look introspectively at my own life. A Decade of Laughter -- Words of a CERTAIN Woman

My, my, my, I have laughed to tears and cried to  Laughter with the memories of my Mom.  During this time, four years ago, we were making plans for her earthen vessel to be planted in the earth.  It is the Second day of the ninth month in the year R&R(ReCover&ReStore).  There is so much to remember, one thing for sure is that God, really does have a sense of humor.  My Mom, during her season as mother, wife, friend, adult...did not play with us too much.  She had so much of life things to do, she did not really spend alot of time laughing and joking.  But, we were in for a real surprise during the last decade of her life. It was almost like God allowed her to transition from a hard place in life to a season of simply joy and laughter .  When my Mom lost her sight, she took it in stride.  A few months after losing her sight, my Mom was diagnosed with kidney failure.  This was a hard blow.  It took her down for a littl...
