Today was the day, in August 2007 that My Mom transitioned from her earthly journey to the ever after. It is the thirtieth day of the eighth month in the year R&R(ReCover&ReStore). I am grateful today for her living example and the words of wisdom and encouragement that left her lips and fell on listening ears. Many conversations with my Mom are enabling me to cope with life's challenges today. The pain of her physical absence is still felt, but the fruit of her labor of love is evident and keeping me strong. Her ability to simply forgive and move on, her actions towards everyone, even those who (it seemed to me) had wronged her. How do you live a life without even attempting to "get them back"? How do you go on without having a pity party for yourself after what you had to go through because of someone else? No Regrets! My Mom could have had many, but she said she had none. In a conversation with my sister, she reiterated over and over again, that she had No Regrets. Wow! This lesson has taught me to leave the past in the past, becaused it has passed. Regret does not contribute postively to your present or your future. Learn from mistakes, forgive trespasses and move on to your destiny. Don't let Regret rob you of your life....Regret is pain of mind on account of something done or experienced in the past, with a wish that it had been different; a looking back with dissatisfaction or with longing; grief; sorrow; especially, a mourning on account of the loss of some joy, advantage, or satisfaction.
